A Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner was held last Thursday at the Huron Event Center. Outgoing District 22 Representative Roger Chase hosted the event and introduced SD DANR secretary Hunter Roberts as keynote speaker. The dinner was an opportunity to hear from the republican candidates for state wide races. Senator David Wheeler is unopposed in the primary for his seat. Wheeler introduced the candidates on the republican side for the two District 22 house seats. He started off with Terry Nebelsick.
Wheeler introduced past representative Lana Greenfield.
The third candidate for the republican primary is Kevin Van Diepen.
Primary election day is June 4th. A candidate forum will be held on Saturday May 11th. Absentee voting for the primary is now available at county auditor offices.
