WHEELER ON THE IMPEACHMENT GUIDELINES PART TWO

More today with District 22 Senator David Wheeler who put his legal experience to work to help form the rules and procedures for impeaching an elected official in South Dakota. Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg is currently suspended pending the outcome of the impeachment trial June 20 and 21st.  With the state senate acting as jurors in the trail Wheeler talks about how the members remained clear of testimony in the case.

With the impeachment so late in an election year some suggested the issue should be handled by the republican party convention as many feel that Ravnsborg would not get another nomination.  Wheeler said the matter needed to be handled properly.

Wheeler said he hopes the impeachment will be a great example of the justice process.

The impeachment trial for Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg is June 20 and 21st in Pierre.
