United Way Heartland Region Announces 2020 Goal

The United Way Heartland Region board has set a goal of $330,000.00 for their 2020 Campaign to help provide funding for 30 organizations and 45 programs that benefit those in Beadle and Kingsbury Counties.

Executive Director of UWHR, Jen Bragg says the partnerships that have been forged with so many entities in the region have been key to the successful work the organization does to advance the common good.

10 years ago the United Way Heartland Region became what is known as a community impact United Way when the organization adopted programs such as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the Heartland Region Backpack Program, the Day of Action, Day of Caring and most recently the Student United Way-Huron Youth Leadership Council.

These programs are led by the United Way Heartland Region, whose administration and oversight is by the board.

Other organizations partner with the United Way to make these programs successful and the United Way continues to raise funds for many worthwhile programs that are sponsored by agencies in the region. The United Way Heartland Region supports programs and projects that focus on Education, Financial Stability, and Health.
