Applications are currently underway for the Huron Youth Leadership Council grant program. HYLC is a supported group of the United Way Heartland Region. Jake Holforty with the leadership council talks about that association.
HYLC council representative Noah Beck said the numbers are increasing.
The HYLC had a fundraising event in December with Trinity Hill. Holforty said that was a change from previous years.
Beck explains what the grant program is for and how organizations can get involved.
Grants of $500 for youth programs are available. Beck and Holforty talk about previous grant program recipients.
