After a couple of events for the Dakota Events complex, the DEX on the South Dakota State Fairgrounds will host a premier event getting underway Friday in Huron. It is the 2023 SDRA Finals Rodeo. The event will make full use of the DEX this weekend as we hear from SDRA Association vice president Judy Stevens of Huron.
Ribbon cutting for the DEX was held during the 2023 South Dakota State Fair. The facility was constructed as a result of the fire that destroyed the previous Beef Barn. The DEX built with support of the state of South Dakota, users and supporters. Stevens talks about the events this weekend.
A special event will be held Saturday night for SDRA Honoree Night, Military appreciation day Sunday afternoon and a program Friday to provide funds to purchase a memorial bench for the Hupp Family and River Lundemann that will be placed at the Casey Tibbs Center in Fort Pierre. Stevens said hosting the event is a great opportunity.
