The last two Saturdays have seen severe thunderstorms packing high winds roll through the Huron area. The result has been power outages, property damage and downed branches around town.
Assistant South Dakota State Fair manager Candi Briley says they have been pretty fortunate when it comes to the fairgrounds.
Briley says the heavy rains have hampered work on the campgrounds.
The Summer Spotlight begins today and runs through Sunday on the Fairgrounds.
