A 36-year-old Wessington Springs man has been charged with attempted murder in the second degree and aggravated assault.
The complaint filed in Jerauld County, states that Vernon Langdeaux Parsells assaulted a woman on Tuesday, April 4th with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. According to the Jerauld County Sheriff Department’s Facebook page, illegal drug use is suspected.
Jerauld County authorities requested additional assistance after Parsells was taken into custody. The Huron Police Department provided an escort to the Beadle County Jail.
