South Dakota State Fair and Sherwin Linton Seek Talent

The South Dakota State Fair and entertainer Sherwin Linton are looking for South Dakota entertainers of all genres and styles to be included in the 2017 State Fair AARP Centennial Stage Shows. People of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to submit information.

“We are now inviting South Dakota talent to submit CD’s, DVD’s, photos and bios for consideration to be included as a guest on the 2017 Centennial Stage,” stated Linton. “Adults, children, students, professionals and non-professionals are all welcome.

Linton got his start at the State Fair by performing on the free entertainment stages as well as doing featured performances in the grandstand. Since the early 1970s, “Sherwin Linton and The Cotton Kings” have been a perennial entertainment show at the South Dakota State Fair.

The 2017 South Dakota State Fair will run from Thursday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 4. Channel Seeds preview night will be Wednesday, Aug. 30.
