Slumberland Furniture of Huron Donates Beds to Needy Families

Once again, Slumberland Furniture of Huron is making sure that families in need in our area get a good nights.

With Home of the Holidays, Slumberland Furniture partners with local organizations to identify and assist families who either don’t have bedding or don’t have adequate bedding in their home.

Owner of Slumberland Furniture, Rich Bragg, says this is the 12th year his store has been a part of the program.

This year Slumberland donated 10 complete mattress sets with a total value of $7000.

Bragg says Slumberland partners with the United Way Heartland Region to ensure families who need them receive the beds.

Agencies receiving beds this year include Head Start, Huron Housing, Vocational Rehabilitation, the Huron School District and the Karen Association.

Since becoming a part of the community, Slumberland of Huron has donated over $65,000 in brand new bedding and accessories in the area.
