March Hearing Date Set in Gear Up Case

With the resolution of the EB-5 case, attention now turns to the GEAR UP embezzlement case.

Three people have been charged with stealing more than one million dollars from Mid Central Educational Cooperative in Platte. Stacy Phelps, Dan Guericke and Stephanie Hubers were indicted on various felony charges.

Attorney General Marty Jackley says the next court action is set for next month

Jackley says the March hearing should set the stage for the trials

While a plea agreement was reached in the EB-5 case, Jackley says they are getting ready to go to trial

The case led to the death of the Westerhuis family of Platte, and the dissolution of the Mid Central Cooperative.
