The Huron Water Sewer department received an award for 21 years of water quality.  At Monday nights city commission meeting Huron Mayor Gary Harrington read the award to Rob Reiger and other members of the water sewer department.

City engineer Brett Runge updated the commission on the Huron Wastewater treatment construction.

Commissioner Bryan Smith had a question on the project.

Solid waste superintendent Dale Fortin updated the commission on the drop off site for storm damaged trees and branches.

The resident yard waste concrete pad remains open for continual use.  The south parking lot of the Huron Arena has completed its use for branch drop off.  Fortin advised that the Huron residents have access to use their city utility bill an unlimited amount of time through August 27th for clean up leading up to the SD State Fair.
