Summer rains bring rains and yard work. When grass trimmings and twigs end up in the street gutters they collect at the catch basins. The City of Huron street sweepers are in need of repairs and are on back order for parts. They will be in catch up mode with street sweeping. Rob Rieger Huron Water and Sewer superintendent talks about the issue and what residents can do to help.
They encourage people who notice a catch basin that needs attention but can not clear it to call the street department at 353-8545.
