Despite hosting the State B girls most of the last decade, the tournament will not return to Huron till at least 2023. The girls B will go to Spearfish next year, followed by Watertown and Brookings. Huron AD Terry Rotert says his office will still be aggressive in bidding for state events.
The Huron school district is scheduled to host several other state events in the coming years, including State Cross Country this October, State debate, soccer, and Class B volleyball in 2020, and AA boys golf and State Oral interp in 2021.
