The City of Huron has had its ups and downs over the years and many different factors have been involved in its growth and occasional set backs for the city. A topic of conversation that goes back well into the 1900’s was the talk of new business and industry that were considering expanding to Huron but did not arrive and what occurred. Many people spoke about a group of Huron businessmen who wanted to control what competition they had. I asked Mayor Harrington if that group ever existed and where they met.
Gary said as times have changed so has that aspect of Huron’s past.
