The family of former South Dakota Congressman Clint Roberts is reporting that he passed away overnight. Roberts, who was 82, served as the state’s Second District Congressman, elected in 1980. That seat was eliminated after the 1980 census, then Roberts lost the 1982 election to democrat Tom Daschle.
Roberts also served in the State Senate from 1972 to 1978. Roberts was originally from Presho.
