In a work session after Monday nights Huron City commission meeting (2/27/23) they heard an update of plans to replace the underground parking lot at the Huron Event Center. It will be completely replaced with an above only parking area. Mayor Gary Harrington provided an update.
The underground structure served it purpose over the years as parking for the Event Center and Crossroads in addition to shelter from a summer storm from time to time.
