ESD Girl’s Golf Tournament Going On As Scheduled Today at Broadland Creek

The ESD girls golf tournament will go on as scheduled today at Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.

It’s no surprise that the course is holding alot of water, but rain in the forecast for tonight would make it difficult to play Friday, which is the make up date.

Huron has a young team this year, with a sophomore, two freshman, and an eighth grader making up the lineup. Tiger coach Chris Rozell says playing at home will help.

Rozell says Aberdeen and Yankton will be the favorites, and Mitchell is a dark horse.

Broadland Creek will be open to walkers only. Coaches will be able to give rides out to the starting holes only, then return their cart to the pro shop and coach on foot for the day. There will be NO CARTS for specatators. Anyone who can’t walk the course will have to stay in the pro shop area.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 10 this morning.
