Eagle Scout Project Provides Shelters at Huron Tennis Complex

The Huron Tiger’s three year old tennis complex has already received a new upgrade thanks to one of the varsity boys players.

Senior Reese Uecker was looking for an Eagle Scout project last year, and it made sense to go to one of his favorite places, the tennis courts. The complex lacked shady places to watch the action, and Reese went to work. He raised money and was able to put in four shelters, each with a picnic table. Huron head coach Tim Hedblom said Reese needed a project, and found one.

Hedblom says the Huron complex is one of the top in the state, and Reese’s project is another enhancement to the facility.

The project also included purchase of court number signs. Installation took place after the girls season ended last fall.
