Date Set For City Wide Clean-Up

The Huron City Commission dealt with a short agenda Monday night.

Commissioners heard an update from commissioner Mark Robish on the state tire grant.

Robish said the city wide clean-up is set for Thursday April 20th through Saturday April 22nd.

If you have questions call 353-8542.

Also, the yard waste drop-off site is now open to the public. Leaves, grass clippings, and twigs may be taken to the site. You are asked to place them in the separate piles of yard waste or branches.

The Solid Waste Department has compost ready for residents. It is free due to there being residual chemicals found in the testing. The residual chemicals are 2-4D and Dicamba which can cause damage to broadleaf plants. Residents will be required to sign a waiver. The department will load the compost for a $15 fee.
