At Monday nights Huron City Commission meeting public works commissioner Drew Weinreis had an update of the storm damage clean up from last week.
When that storm approached Huron last Thursday Beadle County had been under a tornado warning. Due to the strong winds and the amount of noise their had been a question of weather sirens were activated. Commissioner Mark Robish said they have followed up on what occured.
Beadle County Emergency Manager Taylor Jans said the sirens are activated when a tornado is spotted or winds reach a specific velocity.
Peak wind that night was 90 mph.
