On the Huron City Commission agenda Monday night was the formal retirement announcement for Fireman Dan Vetsch. Mayor Harrington said Vetsch is retiring after 30 years on the Fire Department. Commissioner Robish commended Vetsch for all of his service.
Also in commission news Solid Waste supervisor Dale Fortin stopped by to talk about a scavenger ordinance to cover city container pick up. Fortin said the green yard waste container pickup will begin wednesday.
