April 9th is election day for two positions available on the Huron School Board and the Huron Mayor race. For the school district Tim Van Berkum will run for re-election to his position. Ray Cardona and Brittany Layher submitted petitions for the school board. The top two vote recipients will be elected to the two positions open on the board. Commissioner Rich Bragg was unopposed for his seat on the Huron City Commission and will retain that seat. In the Huron Mayor race with Gary Harrington stepping down after his term voters will choose from current commissioners Drew Weinreis and Bryan Smith and former commissioner Mark Robish. A candidate forum will be held prior to the election. Election day is April 9th.
