A new cul-de-sac being built in the Southtown Addition will be named Kansas Court SE.
City commissioners gave first reading of the ordinance naming the cul-de-sac at last night’s meeting.
City planner Ralph Borkowski says the cul-de-sac is all commercial land.
Greater Huron Development Corporation officials asked that the cul-de-sac be named Kansas Court SE. They felt that the name would make it easier to find the businesses. The cul-de-sac opens onto Kansas Ave SE.
2nd and final reading of the ordinance will be held during a special city commission meeting on December 29, 2017.
The City Commission will not meet on December 25 in observance of Christmas Day or on January 1, 2018 in observance of New Year’s Day.
City offices will also be closed on those dates.
