Christmas Basket Program Raises Over $10,000 in First Night

Phone pledges totaling $10, 525 were received during the first evening of the Salvation Army Christmas Basket program.

The annual program continues tonight at 6:30 with the Mt. Cavalry Lutheran Church Choir followed by We Found Sound, the Dakota Harmony Chorus, the Bethesda Praise Team and the James Valley Christian School Band.

Proceeds raised during the program go toward supplying Christmas food baskets for less fortunate families in Beadle County and the surrounding areas.

The program continues through Thursday at 6:30 each evening with five different performers each night.

The program is held at the Huron High School auditorium and can be heard on 1210 KOKK, or seen on Midco Channel 6 or at www.christmasbasket.us. You can watch the program in person, free of charge.

Those who have made pledges to the program are reminded to send in their pledge to Huron Salvation Army at P.O. Box 1362. Please write on the check or envelope “Christmas Basket Program”.
