BURIED POWER LINES NOT A CURE ALL FOR POWER LOSS FROM STORMS

Comparing the two derecho storms this year from July 5th and May 12th.  The July 5th storm caused the most power outages in the region as we hear from Tom Glanzer, community relations representative for Northwestern Energy.

Glanzer said these service issues are part of the industry and spoke of possibility of placing power lines underground.

He said some situations would work better than other but overall underground power would not be the solution.
