The Governmental Affairs committee of the Huron Chamber and Visitors bureau held an election forum on May 24th for county commission and register of deeds. That election is June 7th. Running for register of deeds is Judy Rodacker and Kelly Haaland who both work in that office also running is Scott Beck. Opening remarks for Beck were read by the moderator. For the question and answer segment there was a question of customer service and how as the register of deeds you would keep your customers as the top priority. The first response was from Judy Rodacker.

For Beadle County commission the candidates were Dennis Meyer and Gary Wegter. They both spoke about high property taxes in Beadle County they also spoke about county roads needing improvement. A question came in reference the property taxes and where the candidates would get the funding to repair roads without the taxes. The first response from Gary Wegter.
Dennis Meyer also spoke about funding to repair roads.
