A landmark in Huron along US Highway 14 since 1959 will be replaced next year. After discussions dating back many years the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors working with the City of Huron is moving forward to construct a new Worlds Largest Pheasant on the site to the north of memorial baseball complex. Angie Uttecht, chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors talks about the decision.
The current Worlds Largest Pheasant was put in place in 1959. Over time the building that it sits on was home to different business including an ice cream shop and a liquor store. It has also provided thousands of photo opportunities for the local attraction. Uttecht talks about how the new site will differ from the current one.

Fiberglass animals and objects out of Seward, Nebraska will be building the new Worlds Largest Pheasant which is set to arrive early in 2021.
