WOODBURY NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO AT DAKOTA PROVISIONS

On February 2nd Jordan Woodbury took over as president and CEO of Dakota Provisions in Huron.  Woodbury was named to take over for Ken Rutledge who retires after 47 years in the industry ending with being the first CEO for the state of the art turkey processing facility that came online in 2006.  Woodbury has over 24 years in the meat and poultry industry and has been employed at Dakota Provisions since 2005.  Jordan said being with Dakota Provisions from the beginning and working in a variety of positions was a great opportunity.

Woodbury holds a masters degree in public health with a focus on Environmental health and food safety.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science and Agricultural systems management.  He talks about how the company has changed since the company’s beginning.

He talks about the current challenges for Dakota Provisions.

Woodbury said for now there are no new plans in the works.

Dakota Provisions original plant has added a new plant in the west industrial park of Huron.  It also operates a cold storage location and a retail store in Huron and Brookings.
