The tough winter is taking a toll on deer and pheasants. South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department Wildlife Manager Scott Lindgren says reports of dead birds and deer who are under stress and under-nourished are mounting. In many cases, the animals look to silage and corn piles for a source of food, and that leads to complaint calls from landowners. Lindgren says there are some remedies they can take….
