WHAT WE DO MATTERS – VACCINE PART 2 DR CARR

Yesterday in our news feature what we do matters Dr. Joe Carr with Carr Chiropractic Clinic and a member of the Beadle County Covid 19 Unified Task force took a look at ages of Covid vaccinations per age group and the challenge of reaching “herd immunity”. Getting back to normal will require 75-85 percent completed vaccination series. Dr. Carr spoke of concern with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine pause as a concern to people in the age groups that could get us to herd immunity.

He spoke of people who have have the virus and had very few issues with it. Following 90 days of short term antibodies reacquiring the virus is possible and may be much more severe the second time around.

He said if you are looking at the health of others there are plenty of reasons to get vaccinated.

Another question that many people want to know is the possibility of yearly boosters shots for Covid similar to influenza.

Dr Carr will address some more misguided opinions about not getting vaccinated tomorrow on What we do matters during performance radio news.
