Forecasters are looking for an extended period of wet, cold weather across much of the northern plains.
Dennis Todey with the Midwest Climate Hub in Ames Iowa says heavy rains are possible to the south, with the cooler temperatures to the north
Todey says there will be more, snow and rain possible
Todey says it may be mid May before we see much of a pattern change
Todey says enough cold air could be in place to see some accumulating snow from eastern Nebraska into western Iowa and southern South Dakota Sunday into Monday.
