PIERRE, SD – A woman who pleaded guilty to bank fraud in South Dakota federal court was sentenced to nine months in prison and $4,427 in restitution. Twenty-five-year-old Kaila Naomi Scofield of Wessington Springs pleaded guilty in January to defrauding a Sioux Falls credit union. She was accused of depositing fraudulent checks into her account and then immediately withdrawing the money.
