WESSINGTON SPRINGS, S.D. (AP) – The new William-Fee Post 14 American Legion building in Wessington Springs is set to reopen in a few months. The original building was reduced to rubble in June 2014 by a tornado. A ceremony will be held sometime in March to celebrate the new building, which stands in the same place as the old building, but the facility will be ready to host its first event in mid-February. The new American Legion building will be bigger and will feature upgraded amenities, a full bar, several TVs, a pool table and darts and casino areas. The new building also will have a more extensive sound system and LED lighting.
