Weather Radars To Get A Boost

The National Weather Service is in the process of upgrading its radar network across the country.  Todd Heitkamp at the weather service office in Sioux Falls says they will get the improvements late this month…

Heitkamp says the dual beams will give them a better look inside storm clouds…

Heitkamp says more information about precipitation and storms will improve their forecasts…

The upgrade will begin on July 30th and take about ten days. The radar at the Aberdeen National Weather Service office will be upgraded after that.
