The 17 year run of We Found Sound will come to a close this Sunday with their final performance. Katie Shiebe and Kristi Katner started We Found Sound in 2004 to give kids an opportunity to build their self confidence singing and dancing on stage. Kattner explains what brought about the decision.
Katie and kristi talk about the difficulties in finding someone to take over the program that they all put so much energy into.

Schiebe says the We Found kids and group has grown into an extended family.
Kattner says its good to see what the We Found Sound participants over the years go on to achieve.

Tickets for the shows are $8 in advance through F and M Bank and American Bank and Trust through 4pm Friday afternoon. They are $2 more at the door at the Fine Arts Center.

Wow – We Found Sound is celebrating 17 years! That is 680 Sunday Rehearsals, 32 Large Productions, 128 performances (Approx.4 performances per Production), 32 chaotic performance weeks, 7 studio locations, and over 300 kids have been a part of the WFS family. Hours and Hours of choreography, creative planning, prop building, set design, bookwork, script writing, program and ticket designing, light/sound set up and the list goes on….….
It all started in the summer of 2004, when two friends decide to start a show choir. We wanted to give kids an opportunity to dance, sing and shine all while helping them build their self-confidence on the stage. WFS was built from the ground up, we spent a lot of time and energy forming WFS into what it is today. Our Christmas Productions feature a strong Christian message about the true meaning of Christmas. We have always enjoyed featuring Christian music at our shows. It is awesome to watch our kids praise and worship on stage!! Our Spring Productions are always a fun, upbeat, toe tapping good time.
As the saying goes….All good things must come to an end. On Sunday, April 11th, 2021 the 5pm performance will be We Found Sound’s final finale – this decision has not been an easy one for us to make. We have prayed and talked about this a lot together. This was not a quick decision; no time is the right time, but we feel this is the right time for us. We will miss so many things about WFS, but we are also ready to start enjoying more free time. We cannot even put into words what WFS has given both of us, so much love, so many friendships, and lasting memories. We are so proud and thankful for all the amazing kids that have been a part of our WFS family. And we cannot say thank you enough to all our family & friends that have helped WFS in so many ways. Its impossible to list all of you, Thank You Again!!
