A close call this week for a Watertown man after the pickup he was driving went into the icy cold waters of a large slough and he had to swim to safety. Clark County Sheriff Robert McGraw says it happened around seven o’clock Monday night on a gravel road—County Road Eight—about eight miles southeast of Clark. He says 26 year-old Joseph Sears drove off the road and into the slough, then swam to safety, and was picked up by a passerby as he was wet and freezing cold….
