Watertown Man Pleads Not Guilty To Murder Charges

A Watertown man charged with alternate counts of murder and manslaughter entered not guilty pleas during a court appearance. Twenty-eight year-old Jerrin Stulken is accused of causing  injuries that led to the death of 26 year-old Justin Jaton of Watertown.  Jaton was injured in a fight in a parking lot in uptown Watertown during the early morning hours of March 13th.   He was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls where he was in critical condition for 18 days before he died.  Stulken is charged with one count of second-degree murder, and one count of first-degree manslaughter.   Judge Ronald Roehr set Stulken’s trial for August 22nd, beginning at 9:00 am.
