A legislative task force took some initial steps in setting up new water district boundaries at their meeting on Friday. The “River Basin Natural Resource District Oversight Advisory Task Force” was set up by this year’s legislature to manage water based on drainage basins instead of county lines. The task force settled on nine natural resource districts to cover the state, and debated what type of authority they would have.
