Warm Temps, Less Rainfall Expected for Most of October

Warmer temperatures and less precipitation are predicted throughout October according to the most recent Climate Outlook from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Climate Prediction Center.

SDSU Extension state climatologist Laura Edwards says the main weather story this week is rainfall.

Edwards says the U.S. Drought Monitor shows improving conditions in parts of South Dakota while other areas remain quite dry.
