Voting Now Open for HRMC Cutest Baby Contest

In celebration of new life and anticipation of spring, Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is hosting its tenth annual Cutest Baby contest during March and April, according to Kim Rieger, VP of marketing for HRMC.

“Ask any parent or grandparent and they will tell you their baby is cute – and he or she absolutely is,” said Rieger. “This contest gives us a chance to have a little competitive fun searching for ‘the cutest baby’ while celebrating the miracle of new life.”

During the month of March, parents and grandparents were encouraged to enter their precious baby. The nominee needed to live in HRMC’s seven-county service area and be under the age of 12 months as of March 1, 2018.

Now in April, the contest will feature daily voting on Facebook. “People are encouraged to vote once every 24 hours,” explained Rieger. “To add to the mystery and excitement this year, vote totals will be hidden until the end of the contest. So, parents are encouraged to promote daily voting to family and friends.”

Winners will be chosen via a People’s Choice vote. Throughout this month, the public is invited to go to the hospital’s Facebook page and vote for one of the 49 entries to choose the “2018 Cutest Baby.” The top vote getter will win the grand prize of a $100 certificate to a photo studio in Huron, baby gear valued at $100, commemorative onesie and blanket and a starring role in an upcoming HRMC television commercial. The runner-up winner will receive a commemorative plaque and baby gear valued at $50.

Voting closes at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30. To learn more and vote, just visit HRMC’s Facebook page or www.huronregional.org/cutest-baby-contest.
