The City of Huron may end up “sharing” it’s city attorney with the town of Virgil. Huron’s City Attorney Jeff Banks told the Huron City Commission Monday night that the Town of Virgil Board of Trustees approached him about legal representation approximately two months ago…
Banks says he suggested to Mayor Tom Westphal in their discussions that compensation for Bank’s time would be the same as that of Virgil’s former attorney…
Westphal says they don’t need much in the way of legal advise…
The Huron City Commission approved a motion allowing Banks to fashion an intergovernmental agreement that will outline the elements of compensation and scope of work. The agreement will come before the City Commission for consideration in the next few weeks.
