Performance Radio listeners have decided what local event of 2015 is the “Story of the Year” With 38-percent of votes, a spring vandalism spree was voted the biggest story of last year. Huron Police Chief Denny Meyer addressed the Huron City Commission about the crimes on April 13th of 2015

Kyle Weisser at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls also said tornadoes were confirmed from the same storm north of Artesian and Fedora in parts of Miner and Sanborn County. Huron Community Campus maintaining a nursing program was the third biggest story of 2015 picking up 13-percent of the vote.  Ground breaking on the Nordby Exhibit Hall was third with 10-percent and tie for fifth with five-percent of votes was, the Bird Flu outbreak affecting local poultry operations, People’s Transit’s money issues and the approval of Sunday hard liquor sales.
