A man was injured when a vehicle crashed into a Huron convenience store Friday.
The Huron Police Dept. reports that a red Dodge Ram driven by Spencer Grubb, age 46, was approaching the Corner Pantry convenience store (formerly North Star) at 1555 Dakota Ave., North. Grubb told police that after his brakes failed he shifted the vehicle’s transmission into park. The vehicle was not able to stop in time and struck the south side of the building.
A male and female were seated along the south wall at the time of the accident. The impact of the vehicle launched the male off his seat. The male victim stated he briefly lost consciousness. He was transported by the Huron ambulance service to HRMC for treatment of his injuries. The female victim complained of pain in her leg but was not transported to the hospital.
