One of the men charged in the May 2016 killing of a rural Beadle County man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.
32 year-old Jose Antonio Vega of Montevideo, Minnesota had earlier pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree in connection with the beating death of 49 year old Keith Houck in Cavour. He was sentenced today in Beadle County court.
Judge Jon R. Erickson also ordered Vega to pay $104.00 court costs and his court appointed attorneys fees. He was given credit for time served.
The second defendant 50 year old Kevin Krueger of Cavour will stand trial in Oct.
