VARIANCE REQUEST FOR FORMER COCA COLA WAREHOUSE FAILS BEFORE COMMISSION

At Monday nights Huron City Commission meeting it was a night for variance requests one of those was from Adam Rathjen proposing to use the old Coca Cola building on Dakota avenue north for a residence.

Adjoining property owner Sherry McGillvrey asked if having a residence on the same block would effect her property value when sold later.

Commissioner Shawn Harvey spoke on the issue.

Variance requests require a 2/3 majority that measure failed with a 3-2 vote.
