At a recent Huron City Commision meeting a variance request was heard to allow apartments on the main floor of a commercial building at 53 third street sw in Huron. Businesses along that stretch include Manolis Grocery and Sportsmen Bar. Business owners voiced their concerns including Steve Charron with the Sportsmen Bar.
Although not directly affected by the variance request, Amy Goethel from Hurst’s Corner voiced her opposition to the request.
The variance request was denied on a unanimous vote.
