The first of the three-part farm aid package is scheduled to be rolled out by the USDA right after Labor Day. USDA Undersecretary for Farm and Foreign Ag Services Bill Northey says more details will be out soon.
He says the delay on the details is because they’re working on the rule making part of the process.
Northey, former Iowa Ag Secretary, says they’re trying to make the program as simple as possible for producers.
He encourages farmers and ranchers to go to Farmers.gov for more information on the tariff aid package.
