The US Supreme Court has ruled that the Environmental Protection Agency has overstepped its authority in attempting to regulate greenhouse gases. The Court ruled that the EPA can’t require small businesses to get air quality permits just because they emit greenhouse gases. The State of South Dakota joined Nebraska, North Dakota and nine other states in challenging the EPA in 2013.
