United Way’s Annual Day of Action Coming Up Jun 21st

June 21st is the longest day of the year; it’s also a day to make a difference in our community.

Tutoring, reading or mentoring just one hour each week can change the life of a child and the world, which is why the United Way will again sponsor the annual Day of Action.

UWHR Board President Erica Woodbury explains what the day is all about.

Woodbury says the United Way is still looking for volunteers.

UWHR has collected gently used books to donate to each child attending summer school. If you have books to donate, please contact the United Way Heartland Region at 352-3537.
