United Way Heartland Region Hits Campaign Goal of $330,000

United Way Heartland Region has announced that they have met the 2019 campaign goal of $330,000.

According to Executive Director Rhonda Kludt, “This was achieved with the assistance and help and support of thousands of people in the heartland region. We don’t do anything alone, and we had incredible support this year. A number of businesses increased their giving from last year with monetary support as well as voluntary support.”

Kludt says a number of years ago UWHR became a community impact United Way.

“We continue to fund PROGRAMS supported by agencies and raise funds for those agency programs. we also support and fund programs such as the Backpack program, Student United Way-Huron Youth Leadership Council, Day of Caring, preschool partnership and other programs that improve the quality of life for people in our region.”

Kludt says a number of businesses really stepped up to the plate. Premier bankcard raised 1/5 of the campaign goal, over $60,000.00, and the school district increased their campaign as well.
